NAVY AND YELLOW OUTFITS FOR FAMILY PICTURES

UPDATED MAY 6, 2019.  I love outfits that use traditional neutral tones paired with a surprising pop of color. If you do too, I think you will love this family picture outfit idea! It pairs navy and gray with a pop of yellow. Mustard yellow is a such a popular color in family pictures right now. But wearing bold colors can be a challenge. That is why many families shy away from them.

One of my favorite tips is to use bold colors sparingly. Use them in accessories. Try wearing a yellow statement necklace. Or belt, or shoes. Instead of choosing a solid yellow dress, keep it more subtle by wearing a navy dress with yellow details.

Shoes, belts, jewelry and scarves are all great ways to add a bright color into your color scheme without it being overwhelming.

Another helpful hint is to pair bright colors with neutrals. We often think of black and brown as neutrals. But there are many other options. In the outfit above, we paired yellow with navy and gray. Both classic neutral tones that helped keep the outfit looking timeless and classic.
