6 Boutique Children’s Clothing Stores

As a family photographer and mom of two little girls, I’m always on the look out for beautiful and unique children’s clothing stores and boutiques. I love seeing my girls all dolled up. I especially love outfits that are unique and I don’t see on everyone else. And I love being able to offer unique clothing options when families ask “What should we wear for our session?”

If you are looking for the perfect outfit for your next photography session. Need a special outfit for your little one’s first birthday, baptism or a special event. Or just love dressing your littles in outfits that you won’t see on everyone else, take a peak at a few of my favorite boutique children’s clothing stores.

      MIA JOY COTERIE

Mia Joy Coterie specializes in outfits for photographers to use in photo sessions. While they are meant for photography sessions, and not day to day use, they would also be perfect for your little one’s baptism, first birthday, or any other special occasion where they are worn for a short period of time.  Mia Joy designs are vintage inspired. And are truly a piece of art. Each outfit is hand sewn and therefore offered in very limited quantities. I know when she is planning to release a new line, I often set an alarm on my phone to remind me to hop on and grab an outfit or two before they are completely sold out.

And, my favorite part is that she overs gorgeous bonnets to match many of her rompers. They are intricate, delicate and add the perfect vintage touch.

This is one of my all time favorite Mia Joy rompers!

      PERSNICKETY

Some of the first outfits I bought for my daughter were from Persnickety. I fell in love with their beautiful fabric choices. And their ability to combine so many vibrant colors and patterns  to create a unique and beautiful outfit. If your style is bold, colorful and vibrant, then I’m certain you will fall in love with Persnickety’s line of clothing too!

One of my favorite Persnickety dresses. The warm jewel tones were perfect for a session in the fall leaves.

      SUGAR PLUM LANE BABY

Sugar Plum Lane specializes in clothing just for the littlest ones from newborn to 5T. They offer styles from furry bear hooded capes to unique onsie styled leotards and even swimsuits. Their styles are perfect for family pictures as well as everyday wear. And, I also love that each item is hand made and made here in the United States.

      ANNIE CASALE

Annie Casale specializes in fun magical attire for little girls.  Her collections are ever changing. But fluffy layers of tulle, lace and beautiful embellishments are a common theme. Her designs add the perfect touch of whimsy and elegance to your next photo session. Or would be perfect for the birthday girl on her big day!

      TUTU DU MONDE

Known for their tu tu dresses, Tu Tu Du Monde‘s style evokes every little girl’s inner ballerina. The full tulle skirts and beautifully embellished bodices are perfect for a holiday party, fairytale photo sessions or breezy portraits on the beach.

      STANDARD OF GRACE

If you are looking for something unique and one of a kind, Standard of Grace absolutely nails it! Her outfits are created by repurposing and upcycling vintage fabrics and table clothes. So each item is unique! And, with the limited quantity of each fabric (you can only make so many rompers from one table cloth) your child is sure to be wearing a one of a kind piece that you won’t see anywhere else. And, probably my favorite part is that she also make adorable matching bows! (Since I have two little girls of my own, finding amazing bows to decorate their pig tails has been my guilty pleasure!)

I hope you find an outfit that is just right for your child’s next photo session. And if you have any other unique children’s clothing boutiques that you think should be added to this list, be sure to let me know in the comments below. I’m always on the the look out for new and unique options for dressing my own kiddos and to be able to suggest to my clients when they are stuck on what to wear.

The lace romper you used in your headline photo! Where can I find something like that? Hi btw

      kristendigman@hotmail.com

Hi Sky! That romper is from Mia Joy. It is a few years old, so it won’t be in her current store. But if you hop on facebook, there is a ‘Mia Joy Studio Official Resale/Destash Group’ where you may be able to find someone selling one once they are don’t using it.
